**GAP are bringing you some fantastic opportunities and this role is no different. Our Payroll department have a vacancy for a Payroll Assistant to join them.**

Reporting and working closely with the Payroll Manager, this is an ideal role for an experienced payroll assistant looking to establish a successful career and continue their training with a company where you are able to work along-side a supportive team whilst working on your own initiative.

This is a hands-on role and you will be involved in the full payroll process giving you an insight into each department and enabling you to build relationships with other departments.
- **Responsibilities**:_
- Prepare all payroll data for the Payroll Bureau to include new starters, leavers, mat & pat leave etc
- Administer and export data from T&A system in preparation for import into Sage
- Check weekly clock cards resolving issues with department heads where needed
- NMW/NLW and NI checks and amendments
- CIS preparation
- Deal with payroll queries
- **Skills and experience**:_
- Level 3 CIPP or equivelent desired
- 2 years’ experience within a payroll role
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, outlook etc
- Able to work under pressure to deadlines set
- Ability to work within a team aswell as working under your own initiative

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Blackburn: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
