**We are looking to recruit an experienced, committed and passionate Catering Assistant on a fixed contract to join an amazing team at Greater Manchester Fire Services training site based in Bury.**
**Offering an immediate start, Monday to Friday working hours 8am to 2pm with no weekends, fantastic salary of £15365, excellent organisation, onsite parking with a supportive team environment. This is a 12 month fixed term contract.**
**What will you be doing as a Catering Assistant?**:

- Using your amazing food preparation skills to get sandwiches/ hot and cold food ready for the fire station staff
- Chopping and preparing of vegetables and other fillings
- Ensuring that all crockery used in the canteen and on site meet the health and safety standards
- Assisting in the canteen as and when required serving food and operation of the till
- Serving the staff on the till and taking payments
- Replenishing of drinks for the self-service drink areas
- Taking and receiving delivery of new stock and the checking of goods for quality and consumption
- Day to day cleaning responsibilities for all surfaces, including cupboards, fridges and freezers
- To be flexible in hosting events that may run on seasonal occasions outside of normal working hours
**We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience**:
As a Catering Assistant you may come from a hospitality background, where you have had experience in food hygiene and preparation of food
- Have worked in a canteen, restaurant, pub or other hospitality area
- You have a passion for working in a catering establishment
- Hold a basic food hygiene certificate
- If you have knowledge of working with food allergies and special dietary requirements
