Working with our partners, Preston County Council and supported by funding from the National Leisure Recovery Fund, GLL are excited to be launching a new multi purpose Leisure Centre at West View Preston. Boasting a new state of the art 70 station fitness gym, dedicated dance and spin studios, soft play, 3G pitches, 25m pool, steam/sauna and café the centre has something for everyone. Offering a variety of industry leading fitness programmes and a number of membership options we are now looking to recruit an exceptionally high calibre team to maximise the potential of the facility.

To support this exciting new venture we are now recruiting a number of Better Health Assistants. As a Better Health Assistant you will be naturally friendly and enthusiastic thriving on offering a bespoke customer service experience to each customer. The key to this role is a flexible, multi-skilled approach. GLL, as an industry leader, have developed a unique career pathway for employees who wish to have a long term career in the Health and Fitness industry. Initially you will be trained in our concierge, lifeguard and fitness instructor roles. As you gain more experience in the role you may choose to develop into a centre manager role or continue in the Better Health Assistant role developing further specialist knowledge and health and fitness skills, rewarded with salary increases as you develop. As you progress in your skills and learning you will be rewarded with incremental increases as you go.
- 5 GCSE grades A-C / grade 4 and above (or equivalent qualification) including Maths and English
- Be a confident swimmer able to swim 50 metres in under 50 seconds
- The confidence and ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- The ability to work as part of a team and lead by example
- You'll have a love of fitness and sport and want to grow your career in the leisure industry, but specifically, you'll need a keen interest in health and fitness, ideally be a regular gym user and knowledge or experience in sports coaching/ activity sessions
