Maintenance Shift Engineer

Our client, a renowned and established company based in the Medway Towns, are seeking a **Maintenance Shift Technician** to join their thriving team on a permanent basis.
For this role, you must have previous experience in the maintenance of fixed plant, awareness of manufacturing cost control and time served as an mechanical / electrical apprentice, preferably multiskilled, NVQ Level 3 minimum.
You will have excellent communication skills, good IT skills, including a knowledge of MS Office. Good SHE awareness and 18th Edition wiring regulations and good fault finding skills. In addition to this, experience of TPM, PPM, Siemens/Allen Bradley Systemsis advantageous.
The main duties of the role are as follows, however will not be limited to:
- Maintaining the plant and facilities to a high standard
- Ensure plant downtime meets targets whilst maintaining safety and cleanliness in the workplace
- To manage and improve plant facilities whilst ensuring all works comply to SHE guidelines
- To manage and maintain engineering stores including stock assessment and inventory levels.
- To demonstrate continuous improvement.
- Report and record all works using CMM system
- To build and maintain working relationships with other departments.
- To assist with the implementation of engineering solutions and cost effective repairs.
- To support production and maintenance teams to ensure plant exceeds its targets for performance, quality and safety.
You will work rotating days and nights, 48 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
