We are recruiting for a **Part Time** (Variable Options)** Nursery Kitchen Assistant** to join our team, ideally with Childcare and Food preparation experience, though this is not essential.

**MINIMUM 25 hours per week** **(Salary £14,187)** over 5 days between the hours of 8.30am & 5.30pm Monday - Friday.

**Typical Shift is 10am-3pm**

Our Kitchen Assistant will lead on preparation and serving morning snack, lunch and tea, with all food pre-prepared and delivered that day by our specialist nursery catering company.

You will be expected to organise and run the kitchen, food order numbers and serve to the nursery children across all 3 dedicated nursery rooms, whilst maintaining a clean environment required to maintain Food Standard level 5.

Quays Park Nursery has a capacity for 120 children, great outdoor space and brand new purpose built facilities, with our in house training provider to add a Childcare Qualification as well as many others of interest.

**Enhanced DBS check will be carried out and previous references must be provided.**

**Requirements**:
This individual will have passion and enthusiasm for safeguarding children and delivering high standards of care.
- To provide and maintain a high quality service to children working as part of a staff team to meet the nursery's needs.
- To collect, prepare and serve morning snack and lunch to our Baby, Toddler and Preschool rooms.
- To ensure a clean and tidy food preparation area.
- To work within our team to provide a secure routine for meal times.
- At least 1 years experience in a childcare or food preparation setting.
- A Food Hygiene or Preparation Qualification or Certificate.
- A passion and enthusiasm for childcare.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
- Good timekeeping, organisation and reliability.
