Head Car Buyer for Prestige and Performance Cars

A full time role has arisen for a Head Buyer at our busy sports and prestige use car dealership.
The role predominantly consists of searching private adverts, main dealer stock and auction houses for quality sports and prestige stock which fits our dealership. Negotiating terms, appraising potential stock to a high standard and organising logistics are all key parts of this position.
Examples of cars we purchase:
Audi Rs, Q + S Models, Volkswagen R Models, Mercedes Amg And Ml Models, Ford St + Rs Models, Prestige 4X4s Such As Audi Q7, Vw Touraeg, Range Rovers, Bmw X5, Bmw M range, and all other similar prestige and performance and hot hatch vehicles.
Previous experience in a similar role and / or experience in sourcing high spec vehicles at trade value is essential. Working flexibly to suit client needs and working from home or from our busy showroom will also be key.
The succesfull applicant will have the ability and skill to buy in 7-10+ of the above type of vehicles on a weekly basis and must have a proven track record of having done this in a commercial enviroment, previous experience of doing a similar role is imperative, the individual will need to be highly organised to make this happen.
We are not seeking a generic car supermarket buyer.
We are seeking a high achiever with previous experience, someone who is driven to succeed and understands the needs to achieve in a target driven business.
Please note applicants with little or no experience will not be considered for this role.
**About You**
You will have motor dealer experience (independent or main dealer) and preferably in and amongst performance and prestige car brands.
You will have an eye for detail and be meticulous when it comes to correctly appraising cars, dealing with clients and completing purchase contracts.
You must have knowledge of used car market trends, and be savy with current trade and retail figures and also clued up on specifications relating to individual models. This is a specialist role therefore your knowledge of the cars you are buying must be very high.
You should possess a full clean UK driving licence
Pay: £40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
Additional pay:
- Bonus scheme
- Commission pay
- Performance bonus
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
