**Job: Accounts Assistant**

**Location Smethwick**

**Hours: 9:00 - 5:00**

**Salary: £20,500**

Pertemps are excited to announce that our Smethwick based client is looking an Accounts Assistant. It's a full-time permanent role. Reporting into the Credit Manager and working as part of a friendly finance team, you will be responsible for the debt collection for the business and support the wider business functions.

**Accounts Assistant Responsibilities**:

- Posting the bank statements for GBP, USD and EURO accounts on a daily basis and reconciling the transactions.- Managing the company vehicle fleet including keeping up to date with the necessary admin duties relating to the vehicles.- Understanding Business Rates and Utilities and resolving queries.-
- Managing and posting petty cash transactions.- Posting and allocating foreign exchange transactions and assisting in queries relating to overseas supplier payments.- Maintaining an accurate record of the company's direct debits.- Posting and allocating company credit card transactions on a monthly basis.- Assisting in mid-month and end of month supplier payment runs.- Keeping up to date with supplier contracts and agreements.- Processing employee expenses on a monthly basis.- Ad hoc administrative duties.- Preparing sales reports- Assisting the finance manager with management accounts ,month-end duties and various audits**Accounts Assistant Skillset**:

- Experience in accounts at least 6 months- Experienced with MS Office, Sage- Familiarity with basic accounting procedures- Attentive to details- A strong desire to develop within the companyIn return the company offers the annual salary of £20,500 increasing upon successful probation period, training and support by senior members of the team. Full benefit package is included as well.
