Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a forward-thinking company based in York. The main duties of the role will be:

- Matching purchase invoices to goods received notes and delivery notes and investigating any discrepancies
- Paying invoices and credit notes in accordance with payment terms
- Undertake supplier statement reconciliations where necessary
- Ensure invoices are approved, if not then they need to be placed on hold on the system
- To issues and reconcile credit card accounts and check claims
- Ensure invoices are coded to the correct nominal ledger codes
- Raising manual cheques and foreign payments
You will:

- Have solid experience within Purchase Ledger role
- Be a good communicator, approachable and organised
- Have great knowledge of Microsoft packages and accounting packages
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Be resilient and able to adapt to new situations
- Be confident in your work
