**One year FTC**An international law firm requires a Librarian to join its established team in Belfast or London. The library supports all offices through the purchase and management of information resources - in print and online. The Librarianis part of the team providing access to information resources for individuals and libraries across the firm.This is a varied role and will cover a range of activities including: Acquisitions, cataloguing, processing and collection maintenance, managing theUK learning and development collections, supporting and promoting the library management system (LMS), and current awareness.

**Main responsibilities include**:

- Purchase and catalogue print and online resources
- Support the ongoing development of library collections, highlighting new texts and identifying out of date materials
- Negotiate with fee earners, library contacts and vendors to provide access to print and online resources
- Provide remote library services for smaller international offices
- Updating and supporting use of the firm’s Library Management System (LMS)

**To be considered for this role you will need the following skills and experience**:

- 3+ years’ experience in a library environment, preferably including acquisitions and/or cataloguing tasks
- Demonstrable interest in library operational work and understanding of core processes
- Exhibits good project management skills
- Technical expertise in the use of LMS is essential
- Technical expertise in the use of specialist software and online resources such as SharePoint, eBooks and journals is desirable
- An Information / Library qualification is desirable
- Understanding of licensing terms and conditions is advantageous
- Experience of delivering training to colleagues and business users, both remotely and in person
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Solutions oriented and a critical thinker
- Strong all round communication skills
- Adaptable, resilient and flexible approach to work
- Committed to excellent customer service
