**Children's Residential Support Worker**

Location: Birkenhead

**Salary**: £12-£15 an hour

£70 per sleep

Do you enjoy caring for people? Are you looking to make a difference? If so, Prospero currently has an exciting new opportunity for a hardworking and empathetic child support worker. The role would consist of helping in the everyday living of children andvulnerable people with emotional behavioural disorders, ADHD, self-harm, and substance use issues.

Essentials:

- Minimum 6 months experience working with children or young adults in a care or community setting
- **MUST** be UK experience

Desirable:

- Enhanced Adult and Child DBS on the update service
- Childcare qualification
- Resilient and positive attitude
- Good communication
- Ability to be compassionate and respectful, yet strong personality to handle challenging behavior and provide stable support.

Working hours:

- Long days 8am till 11pm & sleep
- 2 shifts on 4 shifts off (flexible)
- Lots of overtime available

Duties will include:

- Assistance with everyday living (no personal care)
- Promotion of education
- Providing excellent provision of Safe Care, Support and individual Care of Young People's Health, Wellbeing and Development.
- Support individualised care plans
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Maintaining a safe and caring environment
- Undertake key-worker responsibilities
