**Key Responsibilities**
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:
**Childcare & Education**
- Deliver high-quality care and education for children under 5.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities following the **Pre-Birth to Three** and **Curriculum for Excellence** frameworks.
- Encourage children’s development through play, exploration, and creative activities.
- Support children in achieving developmental milestones.
**Environment & Safety**
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment both indoors and outdoors.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
**Teamwork & Communication**
- Work collaboratively with other practitioners, parents, and management.
- Provide regular updates to parents about their child’s progress.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
**About You**
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic practitioner with:
- **Qualifications**: Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., SVQ Level 3 in Social Services/Children and Young People or equivalent). (preferred).
- **Experience**: Previous experience working with children under 5.(preferred).
- **Knowledge**: A solid understanding of Pre-Birth to Three and Curriculum for Excellence. (preferred).
- **Skills**: Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. (preferred).
- **Attitude**: A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development. (required).
**Requirements**:
- Join the **PVG Scheme** before starting employment.
- Register with the **Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)** within six months of the start date.
- Provide proof of the right to work in the UK if invited for an interview.
