You'll be based in one of our Ipswich or Bristol hubs, surrounded by a team of fellow protectors. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the maintenance and in life support of all Targeted Interception (TI), Data Detention (DR) and Data Disclosure (DD) platforms in the UK and Globally, and the identification and management of operational risks to UK and Non UK TI & DD platforms. You'll use your skills in Linux / MS Windows / VSphere / Networking / Storage to support and maintain the system platforms.

You will need to obtain and maintain DV clearance to undertake this role.

**You'll have the following responsibilities**
- Leads a programme of work that ensures that all Obligations platforms remain stable and able to provide data as required under out legal obligations.
- Leads and owns the maintenance of TI capabilities on the mobile, fixed, WiFi networks and platforms (both within the UK and overseas) to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and HMG security
- Responsible for leading specific incidents within their responsibility effectively and proactively, leading them to resolution within agreed timescales and that changes are efficiently managed, implemented and communicated to all key stakeholders.
- Leads and contributes to ensuring that the security and integrity of the platforms is maintained against relevant and changing standards.
- Be part of an out of hours call rota.

**You'll have the following skills & experience**
- Technical knowledge of Linux / MS Windows / VSphere / Networking / Storage
- Knowledge of fixed/mobile products and services including their platforms and underlying network support including knowledge of specific end to end Obligations system design, standards and applicable underlying security requirements to facilitate support of those platforms.
- Effective relationships: Develops practical and open relationships across Customers, GSS and with other BT teams.
- Business acumen: Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases).
- Proven track record in the operational and technical support environments
- Security Clearance: minimum of SC.
