Support the Chief People Officer and Senior Management Team of the Workforce Directorate in the delivery of the Trust’s People Strategy, ensuring that key workforce systems and processes that underpin a highly skilled and motivated workforce are developed and maintained. This will involve the provision of high-quality workforce information and planning function which will include working with multidisciplinary stakeholders (including other Trust Directors) and the triangulation of a range of data sources. Responsible for the leadership and management of the Employment Services team, ensuring Recruitment, Resourcing and Workforce Information teams are working effectively thus ensuring the provision of cohesive, standardised services that deliver consistently high standards of advice and support to managers and staff within the Trust. **The post holder will**: - Responsible for the processes for both temporary and substantive recruitment, working with both internal and external partners to improve value for money and lead times. Advising on strategies to support management with reducing the vacancy levels through international recruitment, new ways of working and new roles. Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders and take a lead role in innovative workforce interventions to modernise and support service ambitions. Responsible for the production of timely, high quality workforce information (including training information) to support strategic workforce decision making and effective performance management across the Trust. Develop and maintain workforce information systems and reporting to ensure high quality and accurate workforce performance information for all levels of management including the Board. Ensure the effective maintenance and development of the various workforce systems (ESR, NHS Jobs, +US and Patchwork) and take a lead role in delivery of projects to ensure continuous improvement. Effectively manage the SLAs in place. Interpret national and local guidance, ensuring all service activity is delivered in accordance with these and best practice guidelines. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Workforce Directorate to provide support to our Employment Services Team. Over the next 12 -24 months the current post holder will be focussing on a Workforce Transformation project and we are looking for an excellent leader to work as part of our Senior Leadership Team to ensure that we continue to provide high quality and efficient employment service to the Trust whilst driving continuous improvement across our Directorate. Key Responsibilities - Liaise and communicate effectively with all stakeholders - internal and external - to build effective and productive working relationships. - Work closely with the Business Partners to jointly lead on the production of the workforce plans, ensuring alignment to the Trust’s strategic business planning process and co-ordinate the production of external workforce planning returns. - Work closely with the Finance Directorate ensuring that ESR and the workforce planning process is aligned to the systems and processes within Finance. - Work with workforce planning tools to develop the effectiveness of workforce planning across the Trust. - Chair team meetings and monitor the achievement of key milestones in line with project requirements and strategic objectives which will be identifiable with the development of a robust action plan ensuring that resources within teams are assigned accordingly. - Receive and provide highly complex, sensitive and/or potentially contentious information throughout the organisation from senior leadership teams to Trust Board. - Provide effective communication and develop strong working relationship at all levels within the organisational and external with stakeholders, agencies and other partner organisations. - Network and build strong relationships with neighbouring NHS organisations to
