Finance Administrator

**A Finance and Sales Administrator/Sales Ledger person** is required for a growing IT business, this role is offered on a fully remote basis but you must live within 2 hours of Reading for quarterly meetings.
A fantastic company putting its people and culture at the forefront, ambitious growth plans, this role would suit someone who is commercially minded and enjoys a hybrid of finance (mainly Sales Ledger), sales and procurement. Ideally you will understand the workings of the nominal ledger and have Sage experience. This role needs someone agile and able to work at pace and be self-motivated.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Be responsible for sales ledger administration, creating and reviewing sales quotations and creating sales invoices in Sage Accounting in line with specified process.
- Order processing to include initiating quotation requests to vendors / distributors.
- Monitoring adhoc renewals and liaising with the sales team to gain vendor quotations / create sales quotations.
- Negotiating with vendors / distributors to obtain best price for products and services.
- Track every purchase made to ensure that it is completed accurately and on time.
- Working closely within the finance team to ensure purchase invoices received reconcile to vendor quotations.
- Maintain accurate customer and financial contact information on the accounting system.
- Cover general administration tasks as required.
**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**:
- AAT foundation qualification or equivalent
- Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
- Confident using accounting software (Sage / Xero - desirable)
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to negotiate and develop relationships with accounts contacts, vendors and customers.
- Experience of working within IT desirable
- Meticulous, attention to detail
- Administration and organisation skills
- Ability to multi-task and work on own initiative
- Analytical and numeracy skills
