Domiciliary Support Worker

**Overview of Role**
A Support Worker employed by our client is expected to complete all duties set out within statute and using the Supported Accommodation Regulation's 2023. Support Worker may be required to work across different sites within the Organisation at times.
**Other Requirements**
The post holder will be expected to continuously develop in their role. It is in the nature of the work of our client that tasks and responsibilities are in many circumstances unpredictable and varied. All staff are therefore expected to work in a flexible way when the occasion arises and deploy tasks which are not specifically covered in their job description but which will be within their level of responsibility. These additional duties will normally be to cover unforeseen circumstances or changes in work and they will normally be compatible with the regular type of work. If the additional responsibility or task becomes a regular or frequent part of the staff member’s job, it will be included in the job description in consultation with the member of staff.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Work in line with all company policies and procedures and follow company reporting channels.
- Monitoring young person’s ability to manage with every-day living, access education training or employment, tend to own self-care and health care needs, form and maintain appropriate relationships/friendships and develop support networks, whilst providing regular support sessions for the young people in placement.
- Preparing and carrying out an agreed plan of work with the young person living semi independently in the community.
- To contribute to weekly and monthly reports and person-centred care planning.
- To support the young person to attend meetings with other agencies and professionals.
- To attend admission, planning meetings, and CLA review meetings and to prepare the appropriate reports for these.
- To carry out daily and weekly health and safety checks with the young person, which must be recorded and report any urgent repairs or damage to property to your supervisor immediately.
- To administer weekly financial payments to young people and keep accurate records and receipts for each expenditure.
- To participate in regular supervision sessions and annual appraisals.
- To attend team meetings and staff training sessions as and when required.
- To carry out general administration and housekeeping duties as required.
- To communicate effectively with management and external agencies.
- Any other duties that may be requested from time to time directly relating to the function of the position.
- Ensure young people in the service are effectively safeguarded.
