Job Purpose:
To oversee and develop business wide construction operations within the company to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality output and project outcomes.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Work in partnership with Divisional Leads and Project Managers to ensure high quality and innovative construction practice. Build relationships, engage and coach key stakeholders regarding process, procedure and efficient methodology.
- Act as a custodian for the Customer Journey in regards to construction delivery elements. Effectively communicate with a distributed workforce, ensuring projects adhere to internal requirements and client needs.
- Oversee the contractor base and supply chain to ensure on site delivery is executed to the highest standard. Monitor and gather ongoing performance data and work with the supply chain to use this for ongoing continuous improvement.
- Work alongside the Commercial Team and the Operations Team to develop the business contractor base and supply chain relative to pipeline of work and skills gap analysis. Identify, engage and on-board new contractors in accordance with standard procedure. Manage the global resource plot to allocate projects to suitable contractors based on skill set, geographical location and concurrence of work.
- Manage the requirement and allocation of Site Managers against relative projects. Engage with identified and approved external resource agencies to allocate suitably qualified Site Managers to projects, ensure commercial and site-specific needs are taken into consideration.
- Build an internal team of employed Site Managers in alignment with business need. On-board, coach and motivate the Site Management team through regular performance review. Monitor wellbeing and identify training and development requirements of individuals. Effectively communicate to the team, ensuring that business news is cascaded down where appropriate.
- Keep abreast of industry news, innovation, materials and practice developments to drive a forward-thinking approach within the construction practice on projects. Ensure, where commercially viable, methodology is updated to reflect industry changes and modernization.
- Follow and comply with all company policies and procedures which includes the Health and Safety procedures, ensuring personal safety and the safeguarding of the interests and safety of all staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Ensure a contribution and adherence to delivering the health and safety, quality and information security policies and systems across the business.
- To uphold the company values.
- To carry out other duties relevant to your post as reasonably required by management
- Experience within the construction or industry or similar.
- Experience of leading, developing, supporting and motivating individuals and distributed teams to create positive working relationships.
- Proven ability to manage conflict and develop solutions
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire at all levels.
- Demonstrable problem solving, decision making and influencing skills.
- Analytical and goal oriented.
