We are recruiting a QHS Manager to work for a market-leading, award-winning consultancy. In this role the successful QHS Manager will be responsible for overseeing our Quality Management System, maintaining our ISO 9001 certification, whilst working with each department to develop existing quality processes to raise visibility and ensure alignmentto KPIs and overall strategic objectives of the business. You will also help to assess and develop the QMS of each business within the Group, with a view to bringing them all under ISO 9001 certification. You will also be instrumental in developing a more formal H&S Management System with attainment of ISO 45001 a possible target. You will help develop our staff training programme and be instrumental in developing our overall H&S provision as the business grows. The main duties will be: " Develop and manage the company's QHS systems and encourage a culture of excellence and compliance " Ensure continued compliance to the relevant H&S standards and legislation " Review, formulate and implement new/improved policies and procedures " Prepare risk assessments, safe working procedures and toolbox talks " Monitor and address operational effectiveness of quality and health & safety performance, this will include preparing KPI reports across the business " Ensure all employees are appropriately trained to manage, monitor and improve the health and safety standards in the workplace Be responsible for all safety " Ensure health & safety plans are developed and implemented in accordance with the CDM Regulations " Ensure that safe systems of work are developed to control identified risks, and communicated to all relevant personnel including sub-contractors " Plan and conduct general inspections and internal audits to ensure that the policies, procedures and practices are being fully complied with " Ensure actions are taken to close out any issues / non-compliances found during inspections and audits " Ensure effective equipment issue and return processes are in place " Ensure equipment is calibrated and that appropriate calibration records are maintained " Investigate and report all Accidents, Incidents and Hazards (inclusive of RIDDOR) " Chair Quality and H&S meetings at appropriate intervals " Ensure health & safety plans are developed and implemented in accordance with the CDM Regulations " Ensure that safe systems of work are developed to control identified risks, and communicated to all relevant personnel including sub-contractors " Plan and conduct general inspections and internal audits to ensure that the policies, procedures and practices are being fully complied with " Ensure actions are taken to close out any issues / non-compliances found during inspections and audits " Ensure effective equipment issue and return processes are in place " Ensure equipment is calibrated and that appropriate calibration records are maintained " Investigate and report all Accidents, Incidents and Hazards (inclusive of RIDDOR) " Chair Quality and H&S meetings at appropriate intervals - NEBOSH (preferred) or IOSH - ISO 9001 / 45001 Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor - CQI or IRCA certificate in Quality Management - Risk Assessment In return the company will provide the opportunity to be part of a company who will support every one of their team to become the best they can and grow both professionally and personally.
