Here at GXO, we are looking for a Planning Support Manager to join us on our B&Q contract based out of Birchwood.We are not looking for a quick fix but a versatile leader with experience of managing a team, the ability to adapt to an ever-changing programwith direct customer interaction and a flair for continuous improvement. You’ll work Monday to Friday 0900 - 1700 but flexibility is a must - this is logistics after all

**Pay, benefits and more**:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme,a workplace pension, and many other perks.

**What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Daily management of the transport planning resource team
- Work closely with depots and our customer to review and refine delivery schedules
- Develop a centre of excellence culture to promote standard ways of working.
- Ownership of the optimised daily plan in line with operational KPI’s, measuring and reviewing continuous improvement of the daily plan

**What you need to succeed at GXO**
- A good understanding of compliance within the transport industry (WTD, Driver regulations)
- Good working knowledge of Paragon Planning system
- Good communication & presentation skills.
- Confidence in utilising Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Experience of working within a changing environment that is dependent on seasonal variations and customer requirements
- Ability to lead and develop a team
