**the role**

It’s a new role we’re creating within our supply chain team for an Assistant Merchandiser - you will report into our Merchandiser and Supply Chain Manager and be responsible for adding new SKUs to our internal systems, placing POs with factories, chasing deliveries through and working with our Ops team.

**duties and responsibilities**

To achieve this, you will:

- Liaising with suppliers and the product team to ensure shipment dates are met for new and existing styles
- Monitoring shipments, recognising any potential issues and flagging them to the senior team members
- Managing the Critical Path with the product development and merchandising teams
- Setting up new products, managing the system to ensure products are set up correctly and information is kept up to date
- Raising and maintaining Purchase Orders and ensuring goods are ordered on time and pricing records are accurate
- Managing and correctly updating the internal system with PO quantities, shipment and delivery dates
- Ensuring all details within Purchase Orders are accurate at all times
- Chasing for shipping documents from suppliers
- Providing support and information to the Merchandiser to feed into the Critical Path meetings and attending meetings as required
- Producing reports and assisting with ad-hoc analysis reports, ensuring accuracy and being able to provide assurance that the data is correct
- Collaborating with cross functional departments such as the Operations, Product Development and Customer Services teams
- Strong computer skills including MS excel (formulas and pivot tables)
- Previous Retail experience in supply chain, merchandising or imports is essential.
- An understanding of sales forecasting and stock planning is desirable
- Methodical approach to work and a high level of attention to detail
- A willingness to learn and adapt to the ever-changing demands of a fast-moving business environment
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to go beyond the assigned role to help other team members
- Show drive, ambition and enthusiasm to deliver results and progress within the organisation
- Able to multitask and prioritise workload accordingly
- Excellent organisational and time management skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
