**ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN**

**£26,000**

Our client based in the beautiful countryside just outside of Chichester is seeking an Architectural Technician. The purpose of this role will be to assist the Architect and specialise in the research of products processes, legislation and technology aswell as detailing designs and drawings. **The Duties and responsibilities of this position are**:

- Collating and organising technical information
- Investigating technical information and factors that affect developments, including user needs, site and building surveys and regulatory requirements
- Monitoring health and safety in design
- Preparing design proposals using CAD and traditional methods
- Contributing to the detailed design process and co-ordinating detailed design information
- Preparing specifications for construction work
- Preparing drawings, plans and documents for statutory approvals
- Contributing to design stage risk assessment
- Making site visits
- Contributing to meetings and document preparation

- Understanding of Construction Technologies
- Visual Communication Skills
- Attention to Detail
- Drawing Skills
- Ability to Work with Three-Dimensional Designs
- Inventiveness
- Interest in People and the Environment
- Knowledge of Building Codes
- Registration with CIAT and have completed or in the course of completing the assessment of the Architectural Technician Professional and Occupation Performance (POP) Record
- Written and Oral Communication Skills
- High Levels of Creativity
- Ability to Work Well Under Pressure
- Willingness to Work Long Hours
- Analytical Mind
- Preferably two years experience within the industry

- From £26,000 - Negotiable on salary expectations
