Job: Underwriting Assistant

**Salary**: £35,000

Location: Hybrid - Maidstone/ London/ Home

An excellent opportunity to join an Underwriting Agency as an Underwriting Assistant to help the team. Being responsible for the administration of risks, capturing risk data on the system, preparing renewal and quote information and any other task that supportsthe underwriters in the underwriting process.

Main Duties:

- Preparing quote information
- Inputting risk data into the underwriting system at all stages of the risk assessment and underwriting process
- Maintaining underwriting documentation and information records
- Preparing renewal information for underwriters and issuing renewal notices
- Chasing outstanding premiums
- Distributing underwriting reports to stakeholders
- Processing of New Business, Renewals and Mid-Term Adjustments
- Ensure electronic files are created for Property & Terrorism underwriters
- Issuing renewal notices
- Chase brokers for various underwriting information

Key Skills/ Requirements:

- Previous experience within a similar role
- An understanding of the underwriting process
- An understanding of the operation of the (re)insurance markets
- Strong interpersonal skill
- Strong skills in Excel and Microsoft office
