Stacker / Labourer

A **Stacker Labourer** is required for a large steel processing company based in West Bromwich. If you are looking to get into the steel industry this position is perfect for you.

It's an excellent opportunity to get a start with an internationally trading steel processing company based in West Bromwich. You will be working on the back end of the machine line, stacking steel, amongst other duties. This is an entry level role, andany experience within manufacturing, engineering or even steel processing will be enough for you to be considered for this role.

Duties and experience required will include:

- Manually handling steel
- Moving it around the workplace
- Wrapping, banding, packing and palletising finished products
- Any other duties as required

The position is working days and nights rotating.

DAYS - 6am - 4pm Mon to Thurs, 6am - 1pm on Fri

NIGHTS - 6pm - 6am Mon to Thurs

Your total working hours will be 47hrs on days, 48hrs on nights. Breaks will be deducted until you pass your thirteen week probationary period.

The rate of pay is £8.91 per hour on days and £10.07 per hour on nights.

If you do well in this role, they will train you up to operate the overhead cranes and counterbalance forklift trucks, moving you up in the company and earning a higher rate of pay. Once trained you will go up to £10.82 on days and £12.30 on nights.
