SEND Administrator - The Role:
As a SEND Administrator, you will be a crucial member of our Salisbury Inclusion and Support team, working closely with the Head of Department, managers, and our EHCP co-ordinator. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of administrative tasks, contributing to the success of our department.
SEND Administrator - Key Responsibilities:
- Diary Management: Coordinate diaries, arrange appointments and meetings, including SEND reviews, using an electronic diary. Ensure appropriate files and papers are available and arrange hospitality and car parking for meetings as needed.
- Record Keeping: Ensure meetings and review dates for identified students are recorded on Pro-Monitor and Pro-Solution. Upload documents, input support strategies, and assistive technology as directed by the Head of Department and Inclusion and Support Managers.
- Data Management: Establish and maintain electronic records and trackers, ensuring security and confidentiality for students. Update and maintain campus-specific spreadsheets and databases related to high needs learners and learners with disclosed learning needs.
- Correspondence Support: Assist with correspondence from our Funding and Compliance Officer and the local authority. Maintain records of costings and agreements with SEND teams from various local authorities.
- Communication: Receive and relay messages and information to the Inclusion and Support Managers and Head of Department, ensuring effective communication within the team.
SEND Administrator - You:
To apply, you will hold:
- Level 2 (GCSE A-C) qualification or equivalent in English and Maths or a willingness to work toward them.
- Exceptional organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a polite and approachable manner.
- Familiarity with SEND and understanding of the statutory duties placed on schools and colleges in supporting the needs of young people and their families.
- A professional first point of contact for the department, maintaining confidentiality and a supportive approach.
