Life Science Research Platform Product Manager - UK & Ireland (Full Time, Fixed-Term Contract)

You will be the marketing product management for a highly valued life sciences research platform. This will include responsibility for a range of flow cytometry instruments addressing a variety of scientific needs for academic and research customers in theUK & Ireland.This role will report to the Marketing Manager for UK&I.
**Job Description Summary**
This role has two primary responsibilities as part of the broader BDB Cell Analysis strategy to drive growth in the UK with alignment to European and WW strategies:
1)
- Management of the Biosciences Life Science Research Instrument portfolio
2)
- Support development and implementation of the BDB Go-To-Market strategy
This role will support the business with product information & management, field activities (where possible), and promotional campaigns. A key to success will be maintaining a good working knowledge of the UK and Republic of Ireland (ROI) market (customers,competitors, funding and product trends).
The role will be positioned in a busy environment and the prioritizing of tasks will be crucial.The role will require a strong technical background, good presentation skills, attention to detail plus strong analytical skills. The post holder will needto be an excellent team player, approachable, flexible and able to manage the pressure of deadlines.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Be an active member of the UK &I Marketing Team and European or Global marketing Platform, contributing to the development and implementation of UK and European marketing plans
- Work closely with Sales, Applications and Technical Service teams to incorporate requirements, as well as ensuring successful implementation of associated marketing projects
- Produce marketing material to support campaigns at local level with the UK BD Creative services teams or external third-party agencies as required, developing tools to measure campaign effectiveness
- Organize and attending workshops, seminars and exhibitions
- Attending key customer meetings with Sales team to provide support, commercial presentations (as required) and gain customer insights
- Participate in ‘voice of the customer’ surveys
- Work with Marketing team and stakeholders to manage product lists, develop and analyse pricing models
- Remain current with the latest relevant product developments
- Assists in dealing with product technical enquiries from customers, customer care and sales reps

- PC literate, skilled user of the Microsoft suite including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to travel (Up to 20% of time), including to both BD Winnersh and customer sites
**Desired Experiences and/or Qualifications**
- PhD in Biological Sciences (experience in Cellular and Molecular Immunology advantageous)
- Ability to effectively communicate product features/ benefits
- Ability to engage both customers and sales force
- Strong presentation, communication and analytical skills
- A customer focused approach and demonstrate enthusiasm to support their product needs
- Proven interpersonal skills to work in a matrix organization as a team-player
- Previous commercial experience seen as an advantage l technical sales, supportetc.
- Marketing or business qualification an advantage
- Knowledge of Industry (Pharma, Biotech, CRO) desirable
- Valid and current driving licence.
