**Wirral Multicultural Organisation (WMO)** is recruiting **freelance interpreters** to support diverse communities across **healthcare, education, social services, and public sectors**.

**Have Qualifications? Even Better**

If you already hold a **Level 2 or higher** interpreting qualification, we are especially keen to hear from you Relevant qualifications include:
✔ **DPSI (Diploma in Public Service Interpreting)**
✔ **Level 2+ in Community Interpreting**
✔**NRPSI Registration (National Register of Public Service Interpreters)**
✔ **Equivalent qualifications in translation & interpreting**

**Location Requirement**

This role is for interpreters **based in Wirral or surrounding areas** to ensure quick response times and easy access to assignments. Applicants must be able to travel to locations across the Wirral efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities**

✔ **Interpret spoken conversations** in real-time between English and various languages, ensuring accuracy and cultural sensitivity
✔ **Translate written documents** and spoken communications, maintaining clarity and professionalism
✔ **Adapt to different settings**, including healthcare, legal, and community services
✔ **Proofread and edit translations** for consistency and quality
✔ **Maintain confidentiality** and adhere to ethical guidelines
✔**Engage with clients** to ensure their language needs are met
✔ **Use strong typing skills** to produce accurate and timely translations
