**About the Job**

The Process Specialist is a new, additional role created as a 24 Month Fixed Term Contract to aid the strategic delivery of the Digital Assessment Initiative.

The DPCP Digital Assessment Initiative (DPCPDAI) is one of the IB’s key strategic transformation initiatives focused on transitioning the high-stakes, summative examinations of the Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) from paper-based to digital format. To execute the work, the DPCPDAI is organized by four workstreams—Systems & Integration, School Readiness and Support, Digital Assessment Development and Digital Assessment Delivery—and led by a core, cross-functional team.

Reporting into the User Journey Mapping Manager, the Process Specialist will be responsible for documenting the key processes for each workstream. This position is crucial to ensuring clear understanding of new workflows, the identification of any gaps / inefficiencies / bottlenecks, and supporting new system development, UAT, Change Impact Assessments, training, and communication.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Process Mapping: Utilise mapping techniques to document the DPCP Digital Assessment Initiative’s future state business workflows and end-to-end customer journeys. Identify and raise gaps, inefficiencies, and bottlenecks. Develop expertise in the functional areas engaged with. Communicate the product strategy (and roadmap) to stakeholders in line with their level of digital knowledge and understanding.
- Process Development: Develop and implement process improvement strategies based on insights gathered from process mapping. Analyse data and gather feedback to identify challenges and opportunities. Conduct thorough root cause analyses to understand the underlying factors contributing to process inefficiencies or customer journey pain points, facilitating targeted and effective solutions.
- Implementation: Train and support business stakeholders with embedding the new processes and solutions.Cross Functional Collaboration: Identify downstream and upstream impacts of business process change, raise any gaps and issues, and work closely with project team members to ensure process continuity and integrity. Attend and contribute to relevant project team meetings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document future state processes, facilitate process review sessions and achieve process sign off. Work closely with product managers to support the definition of product requirements to ensure that user needs are effectively addressed in product development.

**About You**
- Demonstrated proficiency in mapping and analysing business processes in a previous role (ideally using MS Visio).
- Experience of maintaining a progress tracker and providing regular process reports. Confident in navigating internal channels to raise blockers and achieve a resolution.
- Prior experience in using Agile Project Methodology in a previous role.
- Proven communication skills with the experience of collaborating across diverse teams such as Delivery Managers, Project Team members, Product Managers, IT, Solution Architects, Business Owners and Change Managers.
- An understanding of the K-12 education sector, Edtech or assessment would be highly advantageous but not essential.Basic understanding of the software development processes, methodologies and lifecycle.
