**Job Title**: TEMPORARY PRODUCTION OPERATIVE
Location/Department: Production
Reporting to: Production Manager
Summary of Responsibilities: The Production Operative will play a crucial role in the inspection, preparation, and processing of kitchen doors and accessories. You will be responsible for loading products onto our automated paint system, ensuring that all items are sprayed in accordance with the company’s quality standards. The role will involve the use of computerised systems, completion of daily housekeeping tasks, and basic preventative maintenance duties. You may also be required to prepare and sand kitchen doors and accessories, ensuring they meet the company’s high standards. Performing quality checks throughout the process is a key responsibility.
This position is a Rotational day shift - 37.5 hours per week, 6am to 7pm Monday - Wednesday X2 rotating to Thursday to Saturday 6am & 7pm X2 this comes with 13% shift allowance.
Key Responsibilities: (Not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive)
Inspection & Loading:
Inspect and load products onto the automated paint system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with production specifications.
System Operation:
Preparation & Sanding:
Prepare and sand kitchen doors and accessories, ensuring surfaces are smooth and ready for painting.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to ensure finished products meet company standards.
Housekeeping & Maintenance:
Perform daily housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Carry out basic preventative maintenance tasks as required.
Documentation & Reporting:
Accurately read, interpret, and follow production information and specification details.
Report any issues or deviations from the standard to the Production Supervisor/Manager.
Experience & Skills Required:
Manufacturing Experience:
Previous experience in a high-volume automated manufacturing plant is essential.
Technical Proficiency:
Ability to operate and troubleshoot computerized systems related to the production process.
Attention to Detail:
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high standards of product quality and finish.
Communication Skills:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
Quality Control:
Basic working knowledge of Quality Control processes within a manufacturing environment.
Health & Safety Awareness:
Understanding and adherence to Health & Safety regulations in a shop floor environment.
Initiative & Organisation:
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage time efficiently to meet production targets.
Working Conditions:
The role may require standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times within the production area.
The role may involve lifting or moving heavy items as part of the loading process.
