We are working with the largest UK Train Operating Company (currently posting revenues of over £8.9 Billion the last seven years), who are seeking to recruit a Train Cleaning Operative to join the Train Presentation team based in their Littlehampton depot.

They are looking for someone with a ‘go getter’ attitude who isn’t afraid to get stuck in and can lead a team by example.

**The Role**:
The role itself will consist of all aspects of train presentation duties. This can include exterior cleaning, interior cleaning, hoovering the floors, inspecting/maintaining toilets, etc.

Hours wise, it is an 21:30-04:30 Night shift role, which will mainly consist of working a Mon - Fri/5 day week (35 hours); but as the rota does start on Sundays & finish on Saturdays, meaning you will have to work roughly one weekend in two/three.

You will be looking after the Southern trains fleet which serve the Surrey & Sussex areas. Your role is mainly interior cleaning focused, but you will have to do some basic exterior work also. There is one cleaner per 3 or 4 carriages, meaning you will be working in a team of 4 at most times.

The depot itself is relatively big in its presence with a requirement to be physically fit to move around the depot with no restrictions.

**The Company**:
The company covers the South East, Greater London & East Anglia areas - this includes Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, London & Hertfordshire.

As a result of this, they have a large fleet of trains - 516 to be precise, so it's safe to say you will be active & busy with your role

**Remuneration & Benefits**:

- £12.92p/h Standard rate
- £15.82p/h Overtime rate
- £16.61p/h Rest day rate
- £18.45p/h Sunday rate
- £25.22p/h Bank holiday rate
- £37.53p/h Christmas rate
- Overtime is available at the Manager’s discretion

**Requirements**:

- Be able to pass a Drugs & Alcohol test
- Provide your Right to Work documents before deployment
- Happy to help mentality/attitude
- A decent fitness is needed as the role will involve a decent bit of walking, so please keep this in mind when applying
- Flexibility to work weekends
