About the Role.
You will be reporting to the Head of Operations working as part of a very busy team, planning systems and dealing with suppliers and fitting teams on a daily basis.
You will be compiling and maintaining records of each installation. Your role will be to ensure that all 'KIT' required to complete our installations arrives on site correctly, any Health and Safety measures are identified and control measures are in place. You will ensure that Installation teams are properly briefed and fully equipped and that customers are communicated with throughout the process.
You will be asked to resolve any operational issues that may arise in an efficient manner and will also be in charge of organising any remedial actions that may occur, with the help of our Operations team.
You should be experienced in running installations and have the ability to manage experienced fitting teams. You will need excellent planning and organisational capabilities along with effective communication skills, together with experience of stock control.
All applicants should have a thorough understanding of MCS standards, basic understanding of inverters/battery systems; and be well versed in general regulations within the industry. You must be a team player who enjoys taking ownership and responsibility and must be able to react quickly and effectively to resolve problems. You must be process driven and able to effectively form and implement plans when under pressure.
This role would ideally suit someone with experience of the solar industry for whom quality and attention to detail is key.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day management and coordination of Installation teams, this would include liaising with customers and owning the end-to-end customer journey.
- Dealing directly with customers and homeowners
- Ensure that all works are carried out within agreed timescale
- Working closely with install teams prior and during installations to ensure smooth operations.
- Overseeing KIT management and stock control
- Ensure all KIT Audits and installations meet the require standard
- Planning schedules of remedial works, including logistics of KIT replenishment and distribution for installation teams.
- Liaise with Cost Controller and Finance department re invoice queries
- Manage staff in an effective and positive manner
Must have:
- Ability to build strong relationships with contractors
- Planning and delivery of works
- A good working knowledge and of Word, outlook and excel, google platforms and Trello
- Knowledge and understanding of budgets and margins
- Demonstrate a high level of confidence, self-motivation and initiative
- Previous experience in similar role
- Excellent communicator
- Customer facing skills
- Dealings with National Account Managers and Regional Sales force
- Knowledge of industry standards
- Ability to remotely manage and motivate installation teams
- Ability to work on own initiative, to resolve issues and proactively avoid problems
- Have a flexible and willing approach to work
