Kettle Meal Solutions (KMS) is based in Flixborough, Scunthorpe and is currently undergoing a period of expansion following the acquisition of new business, this has resulted in a considerable financial investment in new machinery, people, and processes.

Kettle Meal Solutions is part of Barrowcliffes group of companies who are owned by Kettle Produce Ltd, the group consisting of six manufacturing sites employing over 1500 people based in the UK and Spain.

Barrowcliffe's is one of the UK’s most established food processing companies and specialise in providing chilled food products to the retail and food service sectors.

**About the Role**

You will be responsible for hands-on operational support, working alongside Supervision and Production Operatives, in a climate-controlled production environment.

This role will be responsible for ensuring:

- Adherence to quality and technical procedures,
- All paperwork is completed to the correct procedures and standards,
- Raw materials are received at the correct quality and
- Customer orders are delivered to the customer specifications.

Duties include:

- To carry out Goods In checks and document results informing management of any out of specification material.
- Conducting daily safety compliance checks during production and to finished products and review paperwork for accurate and correct completion.
- Conducting personal and equipment hygiene checks to ensure compliance.
- Assisting in the investigation of customer complaints and raw material/ product traces.
- Supporting the updating of site information boards.
- Completion of internal audits against HACCP, GMP, SOP’s, and the BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety and Customer Codes of Practice as well as assisting and participate in on-site customer visits and audits.
- Collect/ take necessary material, finished product or water/ ice samples for micro or chemistry analysis, or conduct swabbing of personnel hands and equipment and book in on the online laboratory system.
- Conduct weekly calibrations of scales and probes and maintain records
- Setting up labels of new products and label verification in production
- To carry out finished product checks and document results informing management of any out of specification product.
- Assist in corrective actions and control of non-conforming product as appropriate and maintain the non-conformance and corrective action logs.
- Communicating with suppliers and buyers as required and issuing of non-conformances as appropriate to suppliers and the buying team.
- Completion of system paperwork as requested and generation and updating of system paperwork.

**About You**

You will be a team player and have a hands-on/ “can do” attitude, willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

You will be highly organised, able to multi-task and work to strict deadlines and under pressure and have an excellent eye for detail.

Good IT and communication skills including a high level of written and spoken English are all essential parts of this role.

**Skills and Qualifications you have**
- Previous experience in QA and/ or raw materials/ chilled produce would be is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Good level of written and spoken English essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and thorough with all paperwork and documentation.
- Excellent personal organisational skills.
- A satisfactory level of IT Literacy skills is essential.

**Working Hours**

Full time - Permanent Contract.

40 hours per Week.

Tuesday to Saturday.

Flexible Working Hours dependent on work requirements and location.

Start and Finish Times will vary between 6.00 am to 8.00 am and 3.00 pm to Finish.

Two 30 minute unpaid breaks each day.

Pay: £24,000.00 per year
