You must have:
- A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare & Education
- A good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum
- A passion for working with childcare and be commitment to children's safety, wellbeing, and development
- An upbeat and positive personality and a desire to be part of
Main responsibilities:
- To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged from birth to 5 years.
- To help ensure that the nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and others to be in at all times.
- To develop and maintain effective partnerships with parents
- To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Nursery management team and to be able to work as a part of the team
- To provide a stimulating, safe, caring and educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, always for the children to learn in
- To deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that will enable the children to make progress and develop in further
- Enable to carry out observations on the children and be responsible for a group of key children
- To undertake designated roles as directed.
- To safeguard the children and have a strong knowledge of the safeguarding process
- To work alongside other external professionals and agencies to help benefit children’s learning and development
- To help ensure the nursery always meets Ofsted requirements and is promoting high quality OFSTED standards
- To work with other professionals in the local area for the benefit of children and families.
- To understand and adhere to the nursery policies and procedures
- Be able to and confidently deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints, and emergencies
- To plan activities for each child and ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes.
- To always maintain confidentiality and remain professional
- To ensure records are properly maintained, e.g., daily attendance register, accident and incident book, risk assessments
