The client is a forward-thinking FMCG business based in central Cambridge who are recruiting for an interpersonal and hardworking Assistant Accountant to join them for this permanent and hybrid working opportunity. The successful applicant will be assistingtheir Financial Administrator, Financial Accountant and CFO in growing the business; all while growing your career, building on your skills and making your mark in an ever-evolving and influential company.

**Description**

**Assistant Accounts Key Responsibilites**:

- Purchase ledger and sales ledger processing
- Preparing payment runs
- Assisting in the production of management accounts; including accruals, prepayments, budgets and forecasting
- Assist with year end audit
- Maintaining and reconciling direct debits and bank accounts
- Maintaining fixed asset register and depreciation
- preparing VAT returns and analysis

**Profile**

**The Successful Assistant Accountant**:

- To be an ACCA/CIMA part-qualified accountant
- Experience using the likes of NetSuite or SAP
- Strong experience in basic accounting, preparing journals and reconciliations (preferably working with subsidiaries)
- Desirable experience with annual audit processes from a previous role
- Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting standards
