Payroll & Accounts Assistant

They are possibly one of the best-known brands in their industry and are well known and well respected across the globe.
They are looking to strengthen their finance team with the addition of an Accounts & Payroll Assistant to their headquarters in Newmarket.
You'll be responsible for
- Weekly payroll processing including time & attendance / clock in card processing and reporting
- Submitting all relevant information to HMRC
- Company pension administration
- Processing of company starters and leavers
- Making payments via online banking systems
- Reconciling bank accounts and statements
- Journal entry
- Support the Financial Controller with any ad hoc requests
This role is fully office based and working full time, Monday to Friday.
To be successful in this role you will need to have previous experience of processing payroll and be up to date with current payroll / HMRC legislation. Along with your payroll experience, you will need to be familiar with accounts processes.
Communication is very important in this post as you will be processing a high-volume payroll for weekly workers - which can be accompanied with a large number of queries, therefore you will need to be able to be professional, calm and supportive when dealingwith these.
