Crypto Venafi Expert

Salt is currently hiring for a Venafi expert for a client in Belgium. The role would require travel to Brussels once a month for 3/4 days.

You will join the Enterprise Cryptography team in the role of PKI & Crypto Venafi expert.
Role
- Participate in the design and architecture of PKI & Crypto solutions based on the Venafi platform.
- Participate in the design and development of automated key and certificate lifecycle management based on the Venafi platform using CI/CD platforms and Venafi drivers.
- Participate in the design and implementation of key and certificate discovery and scanning based on the Venafi platform on different operating systems.
- Deploy and maintain the Venafi platform and Venafi agents, including HSM integrations
- Deploy and maintain Venafi integrations in PowerShell and Python
- A senior level that is able to work independently to lead integrations and strong in implementation and execution
You will join a newly formed Enterprise Cryptography team, consisting of experienced PKI Policy veterans and engineers with a 'can-do' attitude.
Technical skills
- Understanding of the security concepts typical to Cryptography and PKI (i.e. Root and Issuing CA's, Certificate and Key management, HSM, smart cards have no secrets to you)
- Good knowledge on different key and certificate usages: TLS, Digital Signatures, Encryption,
- Good knowledge of the Venafi platform (or other certificate lifecycle management platform)
- Good knowledge of automated key and certificate lifecycle management using CI/CD platforms (Azure DevOps, Ansible Tower) and Venafi drivers.
- Ability to integrate on different technology stacks (Windows, Linux, C/C++,.Net, Java, ).
- Good knowledge of cryptographic libraries (OpenSSL, Bouncy Castle, MS CNG, pyca/cryptography, ).
- Good knowledge of different key and certificate store interfaces (pkcs#12, Java KeyStore, Windows Cert store)
- Experience with certificate inventory building using network and OS scanning.
- Good knowledge of TLS and crypto technologies.
- Good knowledge of hardware key containers (HSM, smart card and TPM).
- Development: Python, PowerShell, Java or C/C++ and Git
