QA Lead

There is an excellent package on offer the salary is more than competitive and the additional perks of working at this company are endless. **The Role** We have an opportunity for an QA Lead to join our client in a new role within their Tech team. As the role develops you will be responsible for managing, leading, coordinating and developing the QA department as they grow. You will need to be focused, resilient and have a positive "can do" attitude. Create and nurture strong relationships internally and externally. **Package and Addition Perks** - Up to £45k - 22 days annual leave increasing by 1 day each year after your first year to 25 days. - 5 days Company sick pay - Free Breakfasts and lunch - Discretionary Christmas Close down in addition to Annual leave (extra 2 weeks off) - Social Events/Christmas Party - Employee Discount in our other brands - Access to Perkbox - Hybrid / Remote Working - Annual Ski Trip / summer holiday - Easily accessible via public transport (minutes' walk from station) - On site car park for staff **Responsibilities & Duties**: - Lead and develop ways of working, processes, routines and approaches of the QA department while remaining fast, flexible and agile. - Drive the technical standards, QA efforts, documentation, and output quality of the department - logs, and reports bugs and glitches. - Become a spokesperson for QA and testing across the business and ensure best practices are upheld and understood - Create logs to document testing phases and defects. Report bugs and errors to development teams & helps troubleshoot issues. - Develop effective strategies and test plans including Acceptance Criteria. - Execute test cases (manual or automated). - Document and evaluate test results. - Tracks defects and helps trouble shoot errors. - Reviews test procedures and develops test scripts. - Review and analyse system specifications. - Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing. - Partners with engineers and deliver team to drive QA efforts, ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle and determine project scope and requirements. - Ability to work in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment. **Experience and skills** - 3+ years proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role. - Experience in project management and QA methodology. - Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing desired. - High attention to detail, solid analytical skills, and problem-solving aptitude. - Proficient knowledge of test management software. - Ability to document and troubleshoot errors. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Experience in managing third party developers at agencies. - Creating and contributing to a fun, healthy, honest, and happy team dynamic.
