The Jetvac Driver/Operator will be part of a two-person team, operating our high specification jetting equipment and vacuumation units. Work Projects, will include any drainage related issues, including blockage clearance, pipe cleansing programmes and emergency reactive works. Although you start at the depot, you will be mobile attending to all work activities, within various work sectors, this includes servicing interceptors and pump stations, some cleaning with high pressure water jetting and vacuuming and removal and safe disposal of waste which you will be fully trained on.

The work is almost all outdoors, and you will need to be physically able and adept in manual handling, heavy lifting, safely use harnesses, work at heights and in confined spaces. You’ll work to ensure vehicles are always ready to go and kept in good working order. You’ll be representing the Company on each and every site and offering a polite, courteous, and knowledgeable service to customers. Strong customer facing skills are required along with good communication skills.

Primarily based out of our Team Valley depot, servicing contracts within the Northeast, there are occasional times when working and staying away from home is required as well as occasional planned weekend or night work. You’ll be part of a standby rota for out of hours calls to ensure the business can fully meet its service Level agreements with its clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Driving: You will need to have a valid Class 2 licence, CPC and experience operating large vehicles. You should be comfortable driving in various weather and road conditions.
- Technical knowledge: You will need to have a good understanding of the equipment you are using, including the jetvac tanker and other cleaning tools. You should be familiar with the operation and maintenance of the equipment, and able to troubleshoot issues that may arise.
- Safety awareness: Safety is a top priority when working in this field. You will need to follow strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. You should also be aware of potential hazards and take precautions to avoid them.
- Physical fitness: This job can be physically demanding, requiring you to lift heavy hoses and other equipment, climb ladders, and work in tight confined spaces.
- Communication: You will need to communicate effectively with your team and other workers on the job site. This includes listening to instructions, asking questions, and providing feedback.
- Time management skills: You will need to manage your time effectively to ensure that you complete jobs within the required time frame.
- Problem-solving skills: You should be able to think creatively and come up with solutions to unexpected problems that may arise on the job.
- Attention to detail: You should be meticulous in your work, paying close attention to details to ensure that everything is done correctly including completion of any documentation
- Customer service skills: You may need to interact with customers and the general public, so you should be friendly and professional.
- Environmental awareness: You will need to be aware of environmental regulations and take steps to minimize the impact of your work on the environment.
- Punctuality, presentable appearance, well mannered, polite, and courteous to a client’s representatives and other Group employees at all times
- Complete all required checks for vehicles daily / timely defect reporting / WTD / Driver’s hours / Tachos where required

Desirable
- ADR licence (carrying hazardous goods)
- Confined Space entry certificate
- Water Jetting Certificate

Patch lining experience
- Excellent communication skills.
- Hands on approach
- Wiliness to learn new skills.
- It would be beneficial if you held an HGV Class 2 licence, with no more than 3 penalty points.
- A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is desirable but not essential as Training can be provided.
- An in date CSCS card would be an advantage but not essential as this can be provided by the company.
- Vac Tank experience
