Job Role: Curtain & Blind Fitter

**Salary**: £20k/annum + Overtime available

There is a new opportunity to join our team at Frank Beirne Fabrics as a Curtain Fitter, this is a small but efficient team of individuals looking to support our customers.

Primarily based out of Atherton, Manchester, your area of coverage will be the National.

Weekly Hours of 40 hours per week plus overtime Monday to Friday, with frequent overnight stays.

**ROLE PURPOSE**

To work as part of our fitting/measuring team, required to visit customer surveying and measuring, installing curtains & blinds, and installing pelmets along with building pelmet boards.

Daily route planning and liaising with customers face-to-face & clients to provide a high level of service at all times.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To fit curtain/curtain poles/track systems and blinds in customers.
- Access, Plan and Build Pelmet boxes and boards within the customers premises.
- Be responsible for company Van and stock at all times to make sure that you never arrive on site without the correct materials.
- Be proactive and not reactive - control events as they change - and then act immediately to keep projects on track. Escalate to the Operations Manager as required.
- Help to ensure all Health & Safety requirements of the varying projects are identified and relevant training/equipment is completed and accounted for.
- The role will consist of working away from home and in some cases working longer than the scheduled 8 hour day.
- The role will require you to be diverse and adaptable to change and understand that new challenges will be key

**EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED**
- Have previous experience installing Curtains, Blinds, Tracks and Poles
- Have some basic carpentry skills in order to build and fit Pelmet boxes & boards.
- Vehicle, Tools & Training supplied in order for you to succeed

- **Work Location: The role requires lots extensive travel across UK and overnight stays may be required dependant on workload. Willingness to stay overnight is essential (paid travel time, accommodation and subsistence). Company van and tools are provided.**
