**Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Week 1 Mon-Fri 7-2.30 / Week 2 Mon-Fri 9.30-5**
**Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks**
**Start date: November 2024**
As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Facilities Assistant to join the team at Reddish Hall School, Stockport to be responsible for the provision of a safe, secure, well-presented environment to our pupils and young people, staff, parents and other stakeholder.

Reddish Hall is an independent school based in Stockport, catering for 5-16-year-olds. We accommodate pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), offering a broad and balanced curriculum which can be tailored to individual needs

**About the role**
The Facilities Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining the fabric, grounds, and overall environment of Reddish Hall School. This position is crucial in ensuring the school premises are safe, well-maintained, and conducive to the learning and wellbeing of the pupils.
The Facilities Assistant will report to the Facilities Manager and will work collaboratively with the school leadership team, staff, and external contractors to uphold the school's vision and values, creating a positive and nurturing space for the school community.
**General Duties**:
- Prepare and implement risk assessments, contributing to school development projects and general maintenance schedules
- Demonstrate a hands-on, proactive approach to developing and implementing systems and procedures, while maintaining current ones
- Be sympathetic to environmental concerns regarding all aspects of the school and grounds
**Essential**:
- Experience of teamwork and working to deadlines
- Experience in facilities management or a related field
- 'IOSH managing safely' qualification (or willingness to obtain)
- Good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, systems, and procedures
- Computer literacy
