**Assistant Commercial Underwriter**

An excellent opportunity has arisen with our client, a leading insurer based in Reading, which is looking to recruit an Assistant Commercial Underwriter.

**Responsibilities**
- Managing own portfolio of work in accordance with company policy.
- Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues and brokers, attending meetings and social events as required.
- Providing quotations, carrying out new business and issuing documentation.
- Contributing to the growth / retention targets of the department.
- Handling cases in accordance with company guidelines and within limits of authority.
- Maintaining an excellent working knowledge of products, procedures, underwriting guides and Management Information.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
