**OUR ENVIRONMENT BUSINESS**

Our Environment Business provides ‘source to sea’ asset delivery capability across the UK and Scotland working on both Frameworks and Standalone projects. Since AMP3 we have delivered in excess of £2bn assets for clients such as Yorkshire Water, United Utilities, Anglian Water, Thames Water, Southern Water, Welsh Water and Scottish Water. As an established player in the market this a great opportunity to join the team at a time of transformation as we shape ourselves to be fit for delivery in a future digital world. We have recently secured a plethora of places on the AMP7 Frameworks for Yorkshire Water Complex Civils Framework, Southern Water and Thames Water Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure projects ranging from £1-40m over the next five years.

**THE ROLE**

The role is to proactively lead and effectively coordinate construction phase activities within the Project Teams promoting health, safety environmental and construction best practice across the Galliford Try Projects for the Southern Water AMP & framework program. With full responsibility for delivering all physical elements of construction work activities from commencement through to completion, maximising quality of product, service and profitability while ensuring schemes are delivered safely and to time.

**You will**:

- In conjunction with the Site Manager, co-ordinate and control initial site set-up, actively installing Galliford Try's systems and procedures
- Produce records and data in conjunction with the Commercial Department, to maximise cash collection and profitability
- Produce of oversee administration to ensure strict financial controls on the payment of the subcontractors, suppliers and operatives.
- Liaise and co-ordinate with all Galliford Try functions to support the overall business objectives
- In conjunction with the Site Manager, appraise the security risk to all Galliford Try property under your control and install security levels commensurate to the relative values.
- Participation in weekly programme/progress meetings during the construction phase to advise progress and resources are effectively deployed to meet programme, and cost targets
- Efficient management of construction resources including labour, plant and materials in line with budgets
- Liaise with subcontractors (on site) to ensure efficient delivery of the project/s, providing such support as detailed in their subcontract agreements
- Ability to work across a number of projects at any given time (dependant on size)
- Identify discipline specific technical issues and feedback to the project team for resolution
- Development of direct report to drive and achieve continuous improvement

**Skills & Expereince required**:

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
- ONC or HNC in a construction discipline
- SMSTS/SSSTS
- First Aid
- Preferably confine space trained
