**Nicholas Howard Limited** is delighted to be recruiting for a new and exciting role as a Telephone Business Development Manager.

Based in London, the aim of the Telephone Business Development Manager is to achieve Sales targets for the Customer and Intermediary spectrum, and ultimately deliver against the annual business plan.

We’re looking for somebody who is passionate about helping customers to live more and worry less. This person must have an excellent telephone manner and be able to win business using their sales skills via telephony contacts. They will act with integrityand champion our internal values.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create an annual business plan to enable you to achieve your Sales targets. Keep this under regular review and explore new ways of working to deliver against target.
- Build your knowledge of our customer’s unique needs and draw on a variety of sales techniques appropriate to the situation, to gain business.
- Gather data from a variety of sources, e.g., from our CRM, market data and your personal knowledge of mortgage lenders; using it to identify and then drive sales opportunities.
- Contact warm leads by telephone and pass them onto tied brokers.
- Identifying, building, and developing relationships with existing and new Intermediaries, to make them aware of our unique product offering.
- Attend and participate in industry events to promote the business and make key contacts.
- Maintain contact information in line with internal processes.
- Onboarding new brokers via our Broker portal; following up; being the main point of contact for brokers when they have issues; escalating issues to the Technology team.
- Hosting webinars with other teams (e.g., Underwriting) to raise awareness of the company amongst brokers.
- Occasionally visiting brokers face-to-face (although this will be mínimal).
- Content and marketing activities.
- Managing diverse and changing priorities to meet the needs of the business.
- Being an expert on lending products, lending rules and underwriting process; resolving simple queries from customers and liaising with colleagues to resolve complex ones.
- Identifying improvements to propositions.
- Selling products responsibly, under the guidelines of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

**Requirements**:

- Proven track record of telephony sales.
- Able to draw on different sales techniques that are appropriate for the individual situation.
- Experience of working in Financial Services (desirable to have mortgage industry experience).
- Able to analyse and interpret data.
- Demonstrable relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
