**Position**:
**Day to Day Role**
- Receive shift handover from the morning administrator and action any potential issues from drivers or departments.
- Complete checks / tasks making colleagues aware of any updates and changes to the driver’s jobs.
- Complete the daily fails file - communicate to the relevant operator.
- Input UK domestic jobs on the system.
- Where required book in collections and deliveries with customers.
- Where possible, liaise directly with the customer informing them of late collections or deliveries
- Add jobs to CX when needed ensuring accruals and charges are added and spreadsheet updated for reporting purposes.
- Be the main contact for the drivers, keep in contact through the day and live de-brief on their return. If any drivers have not finished by the 6pm then call them to check if all is ok and if they require any labels on return.
- Print labels as and when required.
- As and when required, attach drivers run sheet, manifest, delivery notes and labels and place in correct Vehicle registration trays.
- Liaise with the Transport team on any sudden changes to prevent any potential failures
- Any movements that are not used are deleted and any movements that are used for deliveries or collections, a vehicle is added to the movement.
- Ensure all vehicles have been updated throughout the day with the relevant status report (In transit, Delivered, Arrived).
- As part of this role, it is expected that you may be required to cover the duties of the Senior Planner in times of absence and during busy operational periods
**Working Hours**
Monday - Friday
09:00 - 18:00

**Experience**
- General haulage and route planning
- Routing and management of 20 + vehicles
- Background within European logistics desired but not essential
- De-briefing drivers
- Providing a good level of customer service
- Ability to communicate professional under pressure at all levels
**Knowledge**
- Vehicle weights and legal limits.
- Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive Regulations.
- Geographical knowledge particularly road networks
- Able to understand drivers run sheets, manifests, delivery notes and labels
**Personal Qualities**
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Calm and ability to work under pressure.
- Flexible approach to hours of work.
- Applies attention to detail.
- Team player
- Good time management
- Microsoft Word and Excel at immediate level.
