**TRANSPORT CO-ORDINATOR**

Due to the continued growth of the Company, we are looking to recruit an experienced ‘hands-on’ Transport Co-Ordinator at our Head Office in Bathgate. Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for organising and coordinating varying aspects of the transport function across the business.

**What’s involved**
- Logistics planning of the delivery and collections of our units and ancillary equipment
- Completing movement orders, including abnormal loads
- Maintain traffic management system (TMS) to ensure all details entered are accurate and completed in full
- Accurate input and booking of jobs/customer delivery requests
- Work with hire desk and other departments/depots to plan routes, schedule workload to ensure the smooth running of the operation, and ensure vehicles are utilised in the most efficient manner. Plan ahead as required.
- Plan daily work schedule and routing for drivers across GB
- Progress chasing client deliveries and adjusting plans to take into account changing situations, traffic delays and unforeseen circumstances.
- Accommodate additional customer orders efficiently on a daily basis
- Ensure that drivers hours are effectively managed and compliant
- Operating vehicles ensuring optimisation of revenue whilst taking into account customer requirements and legal restrictions on driver hours and other relevant legislation
- Following compliance processes relating to vehicle and trailer maintenance, RTA and accident reporting including relevant follow up
- Bring to the attention of the Management any complaints from both customers and drivers
- Arranging for the upkeep of all vehicles.
- Maintaining product knowledge

**Your experience**
- Transport planning experience
- Strong knowledge of EU tachograph Laws and WTD
- Excellent customer service skills to deal with customer, drivers and third parties
- Excellent communicator, organiser and can work in a fast-paced environment
- Good geographical knowledge of UK
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced administrative role within transport/logistics, ideally gained within the modular buildings / plant hire industry / lorry loader
- Proven ability to take ownership and responsibility with the confidence to resolve issues quickly and effectively
- High level of computer literacy
- Driver training would be advantageous
- FORS compliance advantageous
- Tachograph analysis software desirable
- Completion of police movement orders (esdal / cascade) desirable

**Your qualifications**
- Full driving licence essential
- C+E Licence advantageous
- CPC qualification desirable

There will be significant interaction with both transport and non-transport personnel as well as with the directors of the business. You will therefore be required to develop relationships at all levels.

The hours are 39 per week, Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm. Flexibility to work overtime is advantageous.
