- Probation Service Officer - IIRMS PSOAn exciting opportunity has been developed to join the Options for Change Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway team as a PSO in the Intensive Intervention and Risk Management Service (IIRMS). IIRMS operate across the East Midlands region offering psychosocial and psychoeducational interventions to a small caseload of complex, high risk and hard to reach individuals who are at particular risk of failure in the community through disengagement and further serious offending.This is a unique opportunity to work alongside probation and health colleagues to improve outcomes for people with complex needs. As a PSO in a multi-disciplinary team, a flexible and collaborative approach is required, with a willingness to travel across the Probation Delivery Unit. Duties may include, engagement and induction work, including prison visits; the co-delivery of groupwork; offering individuals a range of practical, psychological and social inclusion support such as skills practice, interventions and accompanying them to relevant external appointments (GP registration, benefits assessments, pursuit of employment, hobbies, and sports activities etc).You will be part of a team with a diverse skillset which may include probation officers, forensic and clinical psychologists, occupational therapists and support workers.You will be an important element of the interface between health and probation. You will support your probation colleagues to maintain a good understanding of and engagement with the IIRMS service. This may include delivering briefings and training alongside IIRMS colleagues. You will also play a key role in the operating of the Hub, an innovative social inclusion space for IIRMS cases. As an integral part of the MDT, you will bring probation knowledge and expertise to the service.The role requires a high degree of motivation and commitment to a relational, compassionate, and professional approach with a strong ethos for team collaboration.- You will be a member of the wider East Midlands OPD Pathway network. We are committed to learning and development, and you will be provided with appropriate training, regular support and supervision.**If you are successful in the recruitment process to join the Probation Service, your starting salary will be £26,475**

The Probation Service offers the opportunity for annual pay progression through a Competency Based Framework (CBF), which if eligible, will see your pay increase. CBF is designed to enable you to move up through the pay band range as your competence grows.

New entrants are expected to join on the minimum of the pay band.

**Responsibilities, Activities & Duties**

The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:

- Contributing to the delivery of Risk Management Plans and report significant changes relating to risk of harm and/or reoffending or any non-compliance within agreed enforcement procedures
- Proactively support the strategic and operational objectives of the IIRMS through engagement with team and clinical meetings
- Using HMPPS IT systems to produce, update and maintain records and other documentation within expected timescales
- Ensuring effective referrals to services through timely communication with offender management staff, interventions staff, service providers and external agencies to review progress and manage associated risks
- Taking a primary role in engagement and social inclusion activities
- Taking a primary role in the operating of the Hub initiatives
- Delivering and co-lead groups with OPD Pathway colleagues
- Supporting the maintenance and processing of OPD data to ensure effective and timely delivery of services
- Demonstrating pro-social modelling skills by consistently reinforcing pro-social behaviour and attitudes and challenging anti-social behaviour and attitudes
- Working within the aims, values and relevant policies of the PS and Health partners
- A commitment to continuous professional development in accordance with the relational approach of the OPD Pathway
- Representing the Probation Service and OPD Pathway with professionalism when interacting with all stakeholders
