A couple living in rural North Yorkshire is looking for an experienced and confident full time cook to join their household team.

You will be required to work 5 days per week, 39 hours per week, some weekends will need to be covered when the principals are in residence however when they are away you can work Monday to Friday. The family try very hard to stick to these hours and try to give as much notice as possible on their movements.

**Duties**
- The couple sort their own breakfast; however breakfasts will be required when occasionally entertaining overnight visitors.
- To prepare a light lunch and dinner. Dinner is usually 2 courses.
- Consult on menu planning. The couple enjoys a range of cuisines and are very focused on eating seasonal produce, therefore the menus need to reflect the seasons
- Liaising with the gardeners and using as much produce as possible from the estate
- Grocery shopping in local market town.
- Prepare some fridge fillers to cover days off
- Dinner party cooking. Usually this will be for a maximum of 10 Additional staff will always be bought in to assist.
- During down time you will be asked to assist others with light housekeeping duties
- The principals are keen on eating good, varied cooking especially using home grown and seasonal local ingredients and it is essential that their cook has the same mentality
- You need to be confident cooking to dinner party level (there are many recipes available)
- You need to be a good team player and enjoy being part of a household team
- A flexible attitude is required, the principals like to have mutual arrangements with staff and always try to find a schedule to suit both parties
- A driver is essential. A car will be provided for work purposes
