**Location**: Midlands with some home working

**Salary**: £65,000 - £75,000 + bonus+ benefits

**Summary**:
This role requires an experienced import, export and customs compliance senior manager who has exposure to both air and road operations from a customer and or carrier perspective within a logistics environment. You will be required to implement a new customsstrategy and design and control the continuous auditing processes and documentation maintaining compliance at all times as well as be able to manage and develop teams across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

- Full mapping of newly created processes from inception to completion
- Continuous auditing of processes and documentation
- Main point of contact with the relevant customs authorities
- Submission of reports to HMRC
- Operational and supplier engagement across Europe
- Managing and developing a team
- Ownership for the reporting and transactional charging

Key Skills/Experience:

- Proven import/export freight transit experience from a logistics environment
- Considerable experience of working with HMRC and Border Force to include CHIEF and CDS
- A recent professional qualification in Customs Import/Export or International Trade and a member of a recognised trade body
- Working knowledge of ITSF (temporary storage)
- Proven management skills and able to engage at all levels
