**Supply Planner / Buyer**:
£28k - £30k + pension + benefits, 4pm finish on Friday, hybrid or office based.

Reporting to the Operations Manager of this industrial goods supplier you will be responsible for the planning and purchasing of products to ensure excellent availability and excellent customer service to their European customers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Creation and placement of purchase orders. Through effective progressing, ensure goods are delivered within the terms and conditions agreed at time of order.
- Ensure good stock availability, inventory control and seamless supply. Liaison with relevant freight forwarders and carriers to ensure delivery deadlines are met.
- Replenishing and maintaining good inventory levels. Ensuring continuation of accurate input data, to bring about efficiency with regards to demand and supply.
- Initiate and implement supplier agreements and supplier quality control procedures. Ensuring the expected level of supplier service is maintained by building good supplier relations. Initiating supplier approvals and continued monitoring of key suppliers through the vendor rating system.
- Compiling of data and reports e.g., Obsolete Stock, Stock on Hold
- Sourcing/Projects. Be proactive with sourcing activities and project requirements to identify the competitiveness and position of our supply base. Consolidation of LCL’s to reduce freight costs.
- Handling rejects, supplier quality control concerns. Raising non-conformance reports, ensuring supplier credits are requested and issues resolved through to completion.
- Ordering and supplying materials through intercompany orders. Ensuring the supply is robust and workable for all parties.
- New part input data, overseeing the life cycle of inventory and controlling the levels of stock holding within the warehouse.
- Work on Supplier rebates and ensure they are competitively set and reviewed annually.

**We are looking for**:

- A working knowledge of the Supply Chain/Purchasing sector, material flow from supplier to finished product despatch (warehousing, material planning, customer service, procurement and logistics)
- Experience of working with MRP / ERP integrated business systems (e.g., IFS / SAP).
- Ability to interrogate system reports and challenge needs based on system driven requirements.
- The ability to implement continuous improvement activity.
- Track record of driving performance
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
