Joining a privately held well established and expanding European Express, Sea Freight, Dedicated Road freight specialist with a friendly and warm atmosphere.
As a business they provide only dedicated vehicles for specialist shipments from manufacturers and freight forwarders. They prioritise top customer service, quality equipment, and knowledge. Handling clients large and small across the UK and Europe.
**We are now looking for a Customs Clerk to join the team your role will involve**:

- **Take on and complete import customs clearances, sea and road, using the Descartes e-customs system, and our in-house proprietary software.**:

- Nominate sea freight containers to our badge code, and clear in Destin8 for all relevant ports.**:

- Support the exports team where necessary**:

- Support customers with customs knowledge and advice**:

- With support from the management team ensure customers are clearing tax amounts promptly to ensure no delayed deliveries.**:

- Liaise with customers regard import inspections, investigations and related costs.**:

- Complete administrative tasks around all clearances to support the customers in receiving information at the earliest opportunity.**
**Necessary Experience**:
**A good knowledge of Import procedures**
**Good working knowledge of Destin8**
**A proven track record in Sea Freight Imports, or similar**
**Experience of the FAS payments system**
**Experience of Descartes e-customs would be beneficial, but not essential.**
