Finance Assistant

Lochlie Construction Group is an award-winning principal contractor, working on projects across West Central Scotland.
Due to continued expansion, we are seeking a Finance Assistant to join our team in Hillington.
Working as part of a small team, you will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure accuracy and efficiency within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter invoices into our system and including our invoice recognition software
- Deal with supplier queries and inform the Finance manager in timely manner
- Processing payments for purchases as required
- Assist Finance manager in finalising month end payment run and reconcile supplier accounts with supplier statements from Sage 50
- Assisting employees with their timesheet and expenses queries
- Support weekly and monthly payroll and keep organised records
- Generating a final timesheet report and raising subcontractors’ certificate for payment to finance manager.
- Adhere to the company's financial policies and procedures and assisting Finance manager in any other duties
- Downloading daily bank transactions and posting in Sage 50
- Downloading credit card transactions and posting it to the system and enquiring about the missed invoices
- E-payment Processing
Essential Criteria:
To be successful you will need the ability to work accurately under pressure and to meet strict deadlines, along with being familiar with accounting terminology, procedures, and processes. You will also require the following skills and attributes:
- Previous accounting or finance background (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Good communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem solving skills
- Highly motivated to learn, with a can-do attitude
- Friendly and approachable
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in using Sage 50
- Experience working in construction or a related sector

**Salary**: From £20,500.00 per year
