We are seeking an enthusiastic community Assistant Practitioner to join our highly motivated, innovative team of Social Workers, and Assistant Practitioners.

Our team is experienced with working with complex cases, have a sound knowledge of the Care Act (2014), Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Safeguarding, as well as excellent time management and IT skills. Any new staff are supported to develop a thorough working knowledge of Norfolk County Council processes and procedures. Covering East Norfolk, our team of Social Workers and Assistant Practitioners use the Care Act (2014) to assess and provide support to adults with learning disabilities living in the community. We are investing in people who can take us forward on our journey to embed our vision.

As an Assistant Practitioner within this team, you will undertake assessments, service commissioning and reassessment work. These will be carried out via video/telephone and/or face to face. You will have excellent communication, record-keeping and keyboard skills, along with experience of working with vulnerable people. In addition, you should have a commitment to excellent customer service and be familiar with the Departments' eligibility criteria.
